The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, announced that the Pragati Maidan Metro Station on the Blue Line had been renamed the Supreme Court Metro Station. The Delhi government’s naming committee took this decision on Tuesday.

The Supreme Court raised the demand for this name change in September 2019. It was followed by requests from local organisations and the people in the area to change Mehrauli Badarpur Road to Acharya Shri Mahapragya.

To make the required changes, Delhi Metro will need about a month. Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia thanked everyone who tried to make this change possible.
