Features And Updates Of The Delhi Pink Line Metro:

• Driverless Train Operation in Delhi Metro Pink Line: The Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Transport Minister of NCT of Delhi, Hardeep Singh Puri and Kailash Gahlot, respectively, inaugurated the Driverless Train Operations (DTO) for the Delhi Metro Pink line via video conferencing. With this DTO inauguration, the Delhi Metro’s entire network is now around 97 km. The DTO network of DMRC is now the 4th largest in the world and the only DTO network in the country. It is anticipated that post the phase 4 completion when the DTO will be available on the Pink and Magenta line along with the Aerocity – Tukhlagabad (silver line), DMRC will become the world’s second-largest DTO network. Wherein it will cover a span of 160 KMs of DTO-equipped corridors.
• Pink Line Metro Route to have full-height platform screen doors (PSDs): Delhi pink line metro route stations-Majlis Park to Maujpur will have full-height platform screen doors (PSDs). These screens help in energy saving and better air circulation at the station.
• Pink Line Metro Veerta Aur Vikas Exhibition: On the Pink Line Metro route station, Rajouri Garden, a permanent exhibition has been installed. The exhibition is named Veerta Aur Vikas, which depicts a fusion of stories of the courage and bravery of Indian soldiers. The exhibition is hosted at gate number 2 of Rajouri Garden metro station.
• “India’s brave armed forces guard the nation with unparalleled commitment and courage to ensure that the rest is safe and focused on development. • Pink Line Metro Route corridor: In Phase-IV expansion of the pink line metro, construction work of piers on both sides of the flyover for a section of the DMRC corridor is completed. The corridor connects Majlis Park to Maujpur; a double-carriageway flyover is built near north Delhi’s Jagatpur village. The 12.5-km elevated corridor will likely be completed by next year, 2023. This corridor will create Delhi’s first ring corridor.
• DMRC and NBCC to connect the Pink Line Metro Route: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and NBCC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to construct a subway on the pink line metro route. The subway will connect the WTC Nauroji Nagar with the Bhikaji Cama Place Metro station on the Pink Line metro route. World Trade Center (WTC) Nauroji Nagar is a commercial project developed by NBCC with 12 towers. The WTC Nauroji Nagar is spread over 12 acres of land, with corporate offices, retail shops, board rooms, food courts, conference facilities, etc. The subway construction will ease the connectivity between WTC Nauroji Nagar and Bhikaji Cama Place Metro station.
