Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar commissioned Patna Metro on Tuesday. In this sequence, work started on the stretch from Malahi Pakri in Kankarbagh in the capital to the newly constructed Pataliputra Inter-State Bus Terminal at Bairia. The Chief Minister said that the work of both the sections of Patna Metro will be completed in the next five years. The people of Patna will benefit greatly from the metro rail. A film related to a project by Patna Metro Rail Corporation was also shown at the commencement through video conferencing. The cost of this project is 13590 crores.
The Chief Minister said that he had seen the work of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation in Delhi. In the course of discussions with his officials, he kept saying that only Delhi Metro Rail Corporation can do good work here. Eventually, this work was given to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
Suresh Sharma, also said that the Metro train will run in five years, Suresh Sharma, Minister of State Bureau, Patna Municipal Development and Housing Department, said that within three years the construction work of both the corridors of Metro Rail will be completed. Mantri was speaking at the function of Patna Metro project by CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday. Suresh Sharma said that on February 2019, the Central Government gave approval of Rs 13365.77 crore on the proposal of Patna Metro project. After which the Patna Metro Rail Corporation was formed.

Two corridors will be built in Patna metro, the first corridor, Danapur-Mithapur-Khemnichak. If we talk about the first corridor of Patna Metro, it’s total length will be 17.933 km. In which 10.54 km underground metro will run. And rest 7.393 km Upargami Metro will run.
Patna Metro 1st Corridor Stations : Patna Metro 1st Corridor their stations will be Danapur, Saguna Mode, RPS Mode, Pataliputra, Ruknapura, Raja Bazar, Patna, Zoo, Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhavan, Patna Station, Mithapur, Ram Krishna Nagar, Jagatpura and Khemnik.
Patna metro, the Second corridor, Patna Railway Station-Gandhi Maidan-Patliputra Bus Terminal. If we talk about the second corridor of Patna Metro, it’s total length will be 14.564 km. In which 7.296 km underground metro will run. And rest 6.638 km Upargami Metro will run.
Patna Metro 2nd Corridor Stations : Patna Metro Second Corridor their stations will be Patna Station, Akashvani, Gandhi Maidan, PMCH, Patna BB, Manul Haq Stadium, Rajendra Nagar, Malahi Pakdi, Khemneechak, Bhootnath Road, Jiromile Pataliputra Bus Terminal.
As far as we talk about the Construction cost of making Patna Metro, In this, 60% loan is being taken by Zika, The Government of India is giving 20% and the Government of Bihar is giving 20% of the rest.

Till now, The process of soil investigation has been completed. Land-technical survey has been completed. Permission has been received from Environment Department to cut and remove trees falling in the path.
